25 Non-Screen Activities to do at Home

Here are several websites offering great learn-from-home activities:

1. Kids A-Z (also called RAZ Kids)

We use this app in class! Students each have an account and can listen to books and answer comprehension questions at their reading level. I can see each student’s progress and leave messages! If you have not logged in from home yet, here are the steps to do so:

Kids A-Z Login Instructions
Step 2: Enter or choose the teacher’s username, kdudley5
Step 3: Your child finds his or her username on the class chart
Step 4: Your child enters his or her password

2. Second Step (Social-Emotional Curriculum we use in class)

If you have not already created an account, follow the directions in this Family Letter we sent home earlier in the year. There are updated lessons on how to support students and families as we navigate school closures and other COVID-19 challenges here.

3. ABCya!

This website has many engaging games we play during stations in Math and Reading to reinforce skills we have learned in class.

4. Scholastic Classroom Magazines

Activities to try at home by grade level!

5. GoNoodle and Kid Yoga

Here are some resources for movement breaks to try inside! We use GoNoodle in class, so kids are familiar with that one. The yoga is a presentation made by a Special Education Autism Specialist colleague, which kids can move through at their own pace. Enjoy!

6. Epic Books for Kids

Have your Kindergartener open their web browser and:
